Campbellsville University is finally home four games on the road. However, its hoop teams still have their work cut out for them as they will play three games in five days to end the regular season.
The Lady Tigers, now ranked 16th, rebounded with a pair of road triumphs last week after dropping the first two on the four-game swing.
CU’s women hammered the University of Pikeville 91-68 behind senior Mackenzie Lee’s 24-point effort and 12 by sophomore Daizah Kimberland.

Poor shooting put Campbellsville University in a hole early and the Tigers were unable to climb out in a 69-57 loss to No. 10-seed Biola (Calif.) University in the opening round of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City on Wednesday night.
The Tigers shot only 30 percent in the first half, including 2-15 from behind the three-point arc. The missed shots led to defensive rebounds for Biola, which converted the boards into baskets.

Cumberlands runs away with 79-60 win over Lady Tigers
The Lady Tigers started slow and never really gained any traction, losing 79-60 to No. 8-ranked University of the Cumberlands on Saturday.
Committing 10 first-half turnovers to only four by UC, Campbellsville dug itself a hole and Lauren Wombles was happy to throw dirt in on top of it. Wombles scored 16 first-half points to lead the Lady Patriots (25-3, 14-2) to their 33-24 lead.
