We, as a Sunday school class at Green River Memorial Baptist Church, would like to commend councilman Stan McKinney for taking a stand against the sale of alcohol on Sundays or anything that promotes or encourages the use of alcohol.
We hope our other county and city leaders will follow his choice.
Thank you, Stan McKinney! We need more Christian leaders like you.

Something different. Something free. Something entertaining.
Those who go to Main Street tomorrow night might see something they haven’t seen before — a movie screened on one of the buildings.
After tomorrow’s Market Off Main event, scheduled for 4 to 9 p.m. on South Court Street, a new event — Movie Off Main — will begin. “American Graffiti” will be shown beginning at dusk.
Movie Off Main is the brainchild of three Campbellsville residents — Max Wise, Andrew Ward and Dr. Jason Garrett.

A local group has formed to help Taylor County residents improve their health.
Local health and other professionals have formed a Healthy Living Coalition to ban together to make the community aware of what can be done to become healthier.
Becky Nash, cooperative extension agent for family and consumer sciences, who is one of two co-chairs of the group, says it will coordinate community activities and educate the public about what it means to become healthier.
