CHS Eagles down John Hardin 8-6 in 10 innings
Durham delivers at plate, on mound
Campbellsville High School tallied two runs in the 10th inning to post a 8-6 baseball triumph at John Hardin on Friday.
Zach Durham, who got the Eagle win in relief, also had three hits and four runs batted in to pace the visitors’ attack.
Clayton Russell and Caleb Gupton had two hits apiece.
• The Eagles fell 3-1 at Green County on Monday as Colton Bush allowed only three CHS hits. Austin Hash was saddled with the Eagle loss despite allowing only five Dragon safeties.

Jaggers' brother-sister duo earn Ewing Awards
Green dominant again in Heartland track
Green County High School claimed 15 individual races and all eight relay events to easily capture the Heartland Athletic Conference girls’ and boys’ team titles on April 25.
The brother/sister act of Evan and Erin Jaggers, who won the Ewing Awards as the meet’s top performers, paced coach Will Hodges’ team to the team championships.

Lady Tigers named MSC Player, Frosh and Coach of Year
Campbellsville University took home three of the top four awards Friday evening at the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament banquet.
Senior shortstop and leadoff hitter Emma Napier was named the MSC Player of the Year, Victoria Decker was named the MSC Freshman of the Year and Shannon Wathen was named the MSC Coach of the Year.

MSC Tournament in Kingsport, Tenn.
CU knocks off top-seed Cumberland to reach winners’ bracket finals
The first extra innings game of the 2013 Mid-South Conference Tournament was also one of the most interesting as Campbellsville University edged No. 11 Cumberland University 2-0, in 11 innings Friday evening at Hunter Wright Stadium.
The win gives Campbellsville (30-17) its fifth consecutive 30-win season and ninth in the last 10 years.
