Injuries already tough on local football teams with limited depth.

Big Dawg Bowl at CU seems like perfect fit

By Bobby Brockman

Why should any other Campbellsville-Taylor County football game be held anywhere other that Finley Stadium at Campbellsville University?
Although the attendance was down somewhat from the 2010 game, 2,420 tickets sold is not a shabby crowd and still the largest sporting event for the year in this community.
However, what’s even more impressive about the Big Dawg Bowl is the environment.
You might have similar atmospheres if the games were held on the respective campuses because the last 10 or so of the cross-town battles have been sell-outs.

Eagles lose in Cumberland Valley Bowl.

CHS clipped 34-32 in three OTs at South Laurel

By Matt Payton

Campbellsville High’s clash with South Laurel on Saturday night in London may go down as one of the best games in the history of the Eagle program. Unfortunately, for Campbellsville, it was a losing effort.
Campbellsville and the Cardinals of South Laurel, the host of the Cumberland Valley Bowl, battled through a scoreless first quarter.

But, brown umbrella finds its way home.

Rough opening night for 26-year veteran

By Bobby Brockman

Ever had one of those days you wish you hadn’t got up and tried to do anything? Mine came last Friday night in the Campbellsville-Adair County football clash in the third annual Forcht Bank Bowl at Campbellsville University.
For a fella who started this job on Friday the 13th, September of 1985, one could expect him to be getting a little senile.
