Savannah Bryant Boone of Campbellsville was selected to the 2008 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
A student at Murray State University, Boone was among several at Murray to be selected as outstanding campus leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

The trustees of the Dr. William H. Olson Scholarship Trust have announced the open application period for the 2008-2009 scholarship.
Olson endowed the scholarship trust to help eligible students from Taylor County, Campbellsville and Green County high schools pursue undergraduate educational programs related to the medical field of study.
Olson was educated at Harvard Medical School, completed his medical internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Mass. and was an associate professor of neurology and anatomy at Vanderbilt University of Medicine.

Taylor County Elementary School will host a family night tomorrow from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The theme will be "Read Across TCES."
Students and their families are invited to come for a night of fun and exciting math and reading sessions, games, refreshments and prizes.
Guests can have their pictures made with the guest of honor, The Cat in the Hat.
There will also be a Scholastic book fair, located in the library.
