BBB releases latest scams and bad business list
The Better Business Bureau has released its list of the top consumer issues for September.
BBB Business Reviews now offer more information. BBB Louisville is testing Customer Reviews, which will allow consumers a chance to post comments, positive or negative, that will help others in the search for a business they can trust. BBB will also publish the actual text of customer complaints and business responses as part of each business’s Business Review.

Kentucky was recently recognized as the distinguished 2011 “state of the year” by the National Energy Education Development Project for its state energy education program.
The state’s program is partnered with the Louisville Gas and Electric Co. and Kentucky Utilities Co. Children’s Energy Education Program to help incorporate energy education into local schools.

CU receives donation from U.S. Bancorp
U.S. Bancorp Foundation has made a $5,000 donation to Campbellsville University’s scholarship fund for the second year in a row. The bank’s mission statement includes a goal to “improve the educational and economic opportunities of low-and-moderate-income individuals and families.” Pictured at the check presentation are, from left, Dr. Michael V. More 4 Less now open
More 4 Less Thrift Store, located at 600 Central Plaza shopping center behind McDonalds in Campbellsville, is now open. The consignment store offers clothing in all sizes for women, men and children. They also have furniture, baby items, toys and home decor. The store will also help families in need. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Pictured are manager Dalton Tate, left, and owner Sarah Miller.

Beth Fields is the new manager at Smart Style Family Salon located in-side Walmart Supercenter in Campbellsville. Fields specializes in modern women’s, men’s and children’s cuts, dimensional and corrective coloring, specialty perms, up-dos and waxing.
