Bobby and Janice Chappell of Campbellsville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Robin Renee, to Kyle David Smith, son of David and Julie Smith of Campbellsville.
Chappell is the granddaughter of G.L. and Phyllis Wise and Margaret Chappell, all of Campbellsville, and the late Bobby Chappell Sr.
She is a 2006 graduate of Taylor County High School and will graduate from Campbellsville University in May with a degree in business administration. Chappell is employed at Taylor Regional Hospital as a patient registration clerk.

Zach Durham was recently named a Kentucky Colonel after his grandfather, David Lyons, contacted the Governor's Office on his behalf. Durham met former Gov. Ernie Fletcher during the governor's visit to Campbellsville in 2006 and had his picture taken with him. He is the 12-year-old son of Dan and Leslie Durham of Campbellsville.

J.T. and Melva Beard, formerly of Campbellsville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Chatham, La., with a surprise reception hosted by their children and grandchildren. The Beards were married at Campbellsville Christian Church on Dec. 6, 1957 by Bro. Bohr. They now live in Chatham and have four children, Scott Beard of Campbellsville, Janie Hlavinka of East Bernard, Texas, Bernie Beard of Plantersville, Texas, and Jeff Beard of West Virginia. They also have seven grandchildren.

Kevin and Tina Propes of Campbellsville announce the birth of a daughter, Abigail Grace, at 12:58 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.
Grandparents are Ruel and Teresa Brackett of Upton, Donnie Propes of Hodgenville and the late Janet Propes. Great-grandparents are Don and Mary Kathryn Puckett of Upton and Geneva Propes of Hodgenville.

Tracy J. Bertram, a Campbellsville native and director of the Kentucky Office of Insurance Property and Casualty Division, has been elected to the board of directors for the national System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing.
SERFF, originally developed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in the early 1990s, provides a more efficient method of handling insurance policy rate and form filings between regulators and insurance companies. Bertram also serves on the product steering committee.

Eddie and Sam Roution of Merrimac will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 4.
The Routions were married on Jan. 4, 1958 at The Church of Christ in Campbellsville by Mr. James Cooper.
