'Walk for the Holy Innocents' is Nov. 1
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church along with the Central Kentucky Crisis Pregnancy Center will host a "Walk for the Holy Innocents" on Saturday, Nov. 1 beginning at 10 a.m.
The walk will begin with prayer and speakers at the Pregnancy Center, located at 319 Maple St., and conclude with a reception at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located at the corner of North Central Avenue and University Drive.
The walk will be about 1 mile in length. Everyone is encouraged to participate in support of the dignity of human life, especially the unborn.

St. Mark to host block party on Saturday
St. Mark United Methodist Church, located at 400 Meader St., will host its annual block party on Saturday, Oct. 18 from noon to 5 p.m.
There will be singing, free food and an hourly prize giveaway. Also offered will be inflatables, Christian face art, a make-and-take salvation bracelet and other activities for the kids.
All activities are free. The event will be canceled in case of rain.

Living Grace to host yard, bake sale on Saturday
Living Grace Church is planning a community wide yard and bake sale Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
The church has lots of items to get rid of and welcomes others to do the same. Some of the items that will be sold include excess doors, trim, base boards, crown molding and casing, desks, filing cabinets, chairs, an oven, dry erase boards, pipe from a sprinkler system, televisions, heaters and a piano.

The Polston Family in concert
The Polston Family will be in concert on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Central Baptist Church in Lebanon. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Central Baptist is located at the corner of Lee Avenue and St. Rose Road.

Lowell Avenue youth visit Spurlington Tunnel
Lowell Avenue Baptist Church Youth Group and friends took a trip on Sunday, Sept. 7 to the Spurlington Tunnel, where they heard a lesson on the Holy Spirit. Boo Cowherd and Dale Henderson are the youth leaders. They meet for Sunday school on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 and on Sunday nights from 6:30 to 7:30. For more information, call 465-7163.
