Church donates money for orphaned Afghan boys
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers paid a visit to displaced Afghan boys and provided them with much needed school supplies, toys and treats during "operation backpack drop" on May 8.
The children, ages 5 to 18, are all considered orphans because their parents are either deceased or disabled thus leaving them in the care of relatives.

KBC All State children's choirs perform May 1
Five Taylor County children will perform with the Kentucky Baptist All State Children's Choirs next month.
Madison Lauer, Micah Lauer, Kristen Smith, Whitney Smith and Sydney Tucker of Campbellsville Baptist Church make up a portion of the "East Choir."
This year, 131 boys and girls from 39 churches are expected to participate in the All State Children's Choirs on May 1. Performances are free.
The East and West choirs are comprised of students in grades four through six who auditioned for the group.

OLPH to have 'Parish Mission for the Family'
